Weekly Updates: February 17th-23rd

After last week’s big full moon in Leo, this week will be a bit quieter. Remember how Mercury was conjunct the Sun during the full moon, in a “cazimi”? This conversation is still happening this week as Mercury makes multiple aspects to Jupiter and Mars.

Mars goes direct on Sunday after 2 and a half months. Dare I say… FINALLY! This Mars retrograde has been a bit of a buzzkill. If you’ve struggled to move the needle forward, that’s okay. Mars has really wanted you to slow down.

MARS GOES DIRECT

If you know where Cancer and Leo is in your chart, that is where you have probably felt the most resistance since December. If you’ve felt held back and tired all while feeling like you’re putting a lot of effort in… that’s Mars retrograde. Mars is the planet of action, drive, initiative, and passion. When that energy in the sky is forced backwards, it can feel like a full stop.

Over the last month, I feel like I’ve really struggled with my creative outputs. Not necessarily lacking creativity, but just feeling unmotivated. Mars retrograde was moving through my 5th house of creativity and self expression. I got some great advice from another astrologer a few weeks ago who said that the best thing we can do in moments like that is to work on the behind-the-scenes. So that’s what I’ve been doing… not giving up… just focusing my energy on other areas of my business. It’s been a great mindset shift!

PISCES VIBES

The Sun joins Mercury, Saturn, and Neptune in PISCES on Tuesday through the 20th of March. When there’s a lot of Pisces energy in the sky, it feels like liminal space. It feels floaty. Pisces is the last sign in the zodiac wheel before we begin again in Aries and represents the cumulation of all other signs. Pisces both simultaneously holds everything and nothing. It’s a really interesting archetype to discover and tap into.

Mercury in Pisces will come into a square with Jupiter in Gemini and this will be felt al week. Whenever Jupiter is talking to another planet, it has the tendency to enhance and enlarge whatever it touches. So in this case, Mercury; our mind, communication style, perceptions, and thought processes. It might be hard to make a decision this week. Conversations may be blown out of proportion or meanings lost in translation. This could also be a great week to lean into your artistic and creative outlets and maybe try something new!
